Biography

 
 

L.A. native, Fabian Chavez grew up with music being the center of his life at home. His early exposure to music led him to his fascination with the drums at age 2, later adding latin percussion and saxophone as his main instruments. Playing professionally at age 14 with different bands around LA, he knew playing music was what he wanted to do  for the rest of his life. He attended California State University, Northridge where he obtained a Bachelors of Music Degree in saxophone performance with an emphasis in Jazz . Since then, Fabian has worked with Grammy Award winning and Grammy Nominated artists such as Jill Scott, Mac Miller, Saint Motel, Sergio George, Miguel Bose, Bobby Rush, Maluma, La India, Dariush, Luis Conte, Fiji, Blinddog Smokin and many more. Fabian has toured and played in most major cities in the United States as well as internationally, most recently, playing a 2 month residency with artist Shelea at Quincy Jones' brand new Jazz Club in Dubai at the Palazzo Versace. Along with performing, Fabian also writes, produces, engineers, transcribes and arranges music.
